Crandall steel chain guide castings\u00a0<\/strong>are secured to the hauling machine foundation head wall and at the inshore end of the track. Two types are used: “U” Guides and “L” Guides. “U” Guides position the chain keeping it vertical and straight as it leads onto and off the chain wheel. “L” Guides throw the chain into the correct position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
